Last updated: 3.51pm, Monday 10th December 2018
Thanks to the local elected members who were able to join us for our briefing session on the afternoon of Friday 7th December. John Mason MSP, Councillors Frank McAveety and Laura Docherty, and Baillie Annette Christie all took the opportunity to meet our new Committee Office Bearers and senior staff team and we look forward to meeting David Linden MP in the new year.
CEO Tony Teasdale gave an overview of the Association’s current activities, future plans and some issues and challenges around these. Topics discussed included the arrival in Shettleston of Universal Credit full service; the technical and financial challenges of upgrading many of our older homes to meet new government standards and the need for continued grant support to enable us to build new homes in the area. It was agreed that the session had been useful and should become a regular feature.
