With Sharon Kennedy now on maternity leave, the Association welcomes two new staff members this week to cover Sharon’s role. Carole King joins us as a temporary Housing Support Officer, and has started her post today. Alison Cowie joins the Association tomorrow, as a temporary Development Administration Assistant, on a part time basis.

16/05/2013 - Engraved sandstones at South Greenfield Render Project: Engraved sandstones at South Greenfield Render Project:

During the demolition of flats in Vesalius Street in Shettleston, 34 sandstone blocks were retrieved from the basement of the Association’s properties and as a historical marker were introduced to the entrances of the South Greenfield Render project.

16/05/2013 - Internal Management Plan - Approved! Internal Management Plan - Approved!

The Association’s Internal Management Plan (IMP) for 2013 -2016 was approved last week by the Management Committee. The IMP sets out the Association’s targets and priorities, which are measured on a quarterly basis through eighteen Key Performance Indicators.

07/05/2013 - New premises for Upkeep at Culrain Street! New premises for Upkeep at Culrain Street!

Upkeep, the Association’s community enterprise, will move to its new purpose-built premises on 16 Culrain Street on 13th May 2013. The new premises, previously a Royal Mail sorting office, will be home to Upkeep’s maintenance services, while the current Upkeep premises on 24 Fennella Street will retain the recycling and furniture aspects of the business. All customers are directed to the new site at Culrain Street for all enquiries from 13th May, as the old premises move to an appointment based system.

17/04/2013 - Great News - we've acquired the 'lighting depot'! Great News - we've acquired the 'lighting depot'!

We are delighted to announce that the Association has successfully acquired the landmark commonly known as the 'lighting depot'. This building is at the gushet of Shettleston Road and Old Shettleston Road, and we believe it presents us with an exciting opportunity to improve the Western entrance into Shettleston. Currently lying in a very unattractive state, the Association would like to bring it back to a condition that makes it an asset to the Shettleston area.
