For some time the Association has been concerned about the estimated 41% of Shettleston households that are in fuel poverty (i.e. households that spend more than 10% of their income on fuel bills) and in 2012 successfully applied for Climate Challenge Funding to establish a local energy advice project. The SEA advisors (Shettleston Energy Advice) visit residents in their homes to advise them on ways to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their bills. The team can also provide information on any grants or subsidies that are currently available.
You can contact the SEA advisor on the details below:

Testimonials from customers that have used the SEA service:
“I have received the Warm Home Discount for 3 years now – I am delighted”. A recently retired postman.
“I didn’t have any credit to have my gas service carried out and was just avoiding this issue, you (the SEA team) helped to get my debt reduced by a lot and now I can afford to top-up and use my hot water and heating”. A working family with young child.
