We are now accepting applications for Fenella Street Mid Market Rent properties

28th June '19: Located between Shettleston Road and Old Shettleston Road, the Fenella Street development will see 46 new energy efficient homes brought to Shettleston, of which eight will be available for Mid Market Rent (MMR). Read more

Smelly Welly club open again!

12th April '19: The much anticipated and highly popular Smelly Welly club re-opened for 2019 on Tuesday 16th April. As part of the Shettleston Community Growing Project, the children's club offers a range of fun and educational activities, including growing fruits and vegetables, healthy cooking, learning about wildlife, building bird boxes and insect hotels....and much more! Beware of bogus callers!

29th March '19: One of our tenants contacted us to say that a salesperson from an energy supplier called at their door and said that Shettleston Housing Association's energy advisor, Angela Tyrrell, had made a referral. Please be aware that our energy advisor would never make a referral to a third party or share your details without your clear knowledge and consent. Read more

Universal Credit drop-in sessions

12th April '19. We are here to help you with Universal Credit, whether you are making a new claim or have any problems with your existing claim. We are running drop in sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where you can come to discuss your claim with one of our financial inclusion/welfare rights advisers.

How did we perform in 2017/18?

1st Nov '18: Our annual Performance Report is now available to read online. We have had a busy year with significant organisational changes. We have achieved a lot, as set out in the report, comparing our performance to the Scottish Average and Peer Group Average. Read more

Successful AGM approves elected Committee members!

28th Sep '18: The Association held a successful AGM last night, where members approved the Management Committee election results, confirming that ten people were elected to serve on the Committee for the next 12 months, including a number of new faces. Congratulations to all those that were elected.

Regulator's landlord report for Shettleston Housing Association

10th Sep '18: The Scottish Housing Regulator publishes its Landlord Report on 31st August each year. This report shows how each social landlord performed against the Scottish Social Housing Charter in the last financial year (2017/18). We are pleased to say that we generally performed quite well across most areas, when compared to the Scottish Average. Nevertheless, we will continue to strive for improvement and better performance where needed.

Arts &Crafts class & Easy Exercise class

6th Aug '18 - *Are you an older Shettleston resident interested in drawing or painting?
*Or, would you like to join a fun, exercise class, especially for older people?

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery, the Shettleston Keen-agers are hoping to roll out two classes for older people in Shettleston. Based at Edrom Path housing complex, both classes will be led by experienced tutors and should be an enjoyable experience for all – yes, even the exercise one!

Regulator publishes 'Landlord reports' for Scottish social landlords

The Association received its first Landlord report from the Scottish Housing Regulator for its performance in 2013/14. On reading the results, our Chair, Annie McAllister commented “I am very pleased with the outcomes achieved by the Association given that we have surpassed the Scottish average in the vast majority of the key performance indicators”.

Quicker response to urgent repairs!

26th June '14: Did you know that the Association has improved its target response time for urgent repairs? Following consultation with the Consultation Panel, and taking into account the views of our tenants and service users, the Management Committee approved the new target of responding to urgent repairs within four working days, instead of five working days! Pettigrew Street Phase 3 Now Complete!

9th May '14: The £2.3m development of 24 high quality newbuild apartments has now been completed and is occupied by the delighted new tenants.

This has been the first Mid Market Rent development the Association has undertaken and it has demonstrated that there is an appetite for accommodation within this new sector in Shettleston.
