Shettleston is a community based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the local area for 45 years.  Our Vision is of “thriving and prosperous communities where all residents enjoy great homes and services, an attractive physical environment and good life chances”.  We currently have a total of 2,398 homes for social rent, mid-market rent and shared ownership in management and also provide regular factoring services to nearly 800 owner occupiers and commercial properties in the area.  We are continuing to develop new affordable homes and have a major ongoing programme of investment in our existing homes to ensure they continue to meet the highest possible quality and energy efficiency standards. We have established two wholly-owned subsidiaries:  Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprise is our direct works and environmental services company which as well as providing quality, value for money services to SHA, has created employment opportunities for many in the local community. East End Housing Development Company provides mid-market and market rented housing in the local area.

Director of Customer and Community Services

Salary:    £72,610 – £75,652

We are seeking a visionary Director of Customer and Community Services to join our team as a dynamic leader with a passion for driving exceptional services.

We are now looking to complete our executive team with the appointment of a Director of Customer and Community Services. The post holder’s primary goal will be to ensure Shettleston Housing Association delivers exceptional, innovative, and high-performing services that align with the needs of our customers and the community. In this pivotal position, you will serve as an inspirational leader, providing strategic direction to the Customer and Community Services team.

The ideal candidate for the role should demonstrate substantial experience in social housing, a comprehensive understanding of customer service and performance issues, a proven track record in effectively managing and motivating teams, and expertise in policy and strategy development. Critical skills and abilities required include strategic thinking, project management, analytical skills, effective communication, team leadership, decision-making, risk management, and commercial acumen.

Energy Adviser

Fixed Term Post until 30th November 2025
Salary:    £31,518

Shettleston Tollcross Energy Project (STEP) is a collaborative project between Shettleston and Tollcross Housing Associations.   We have received funding through the Energy Redress Scheme to employ an Energy Adviser to provide a quality energy advice service targeted at those most at risk of fuel poverty across the two areas and in particular, tenants of both housing associations.

Based in the SHA office, the energy advisor will operate from the Shettleston Hub and Tollcross Advice and Learning Centre and will link to other advice service providers and projects operating from these Hubs, which deliver access to affordable food and digital inclusion, money, employment, and wellbeing advice to the local communities.

We are seeking a positive, self-motivated individual who is a team player, able to build partnerships in the community and with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You must have a recognised energy related qualification and a track record of delivering energy advice and advocacy support.  You will have a good understanding of fuel poverty and related issues facing the Shettleston/Tollcross communities.
