Allocations Policy [Draft] – April 2025

Introduction

Shettleston Housing Association are committed to allocating our properties in a fair, consistent and transparent way.

After consideration we have decided to consider changing our Allocation Policy from a Points Based system to a Banding system. Whilst this means that there are some significant changes to our Allocation Policy, we have outlined some key aspects in our following questions

  1. Changing from a Points Based system to a Banding system.
  2. The introduction of clear information on potential suspensions and the reasons for these.
  3. Clear timescales and guidance provided for appeals and complaints.

Please note as we are still in the consultation period, we are not able to give advice on individual applications. You will be notified in due course on what these changes mean to your application.
