About this development
These 90 properties were built between December 2011 and April 2014, across three phases and formed the first stage of a major regeneration of the Shettleston area. The amenity homes, were designed to meet the changing housing needs of local residents, and thus retain people in the Shettleston area.
Phase 1 - December 2011
The properties are built around a courtyard providing a safe, enclosed area for the occupants. They are the first properties built by the Association that include Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery units (MVHRs) and overall, the Association has received very positive feedback from residents.
Phase 2 - February 2014
Thirty properties were completed in early 2014. The properties are designed as part of a major regeneration plan for Shettleston aimed at raising the standard of the area’s housing stock and meeting the changing needs of our tenants. This development includes a mix of townhouses and flats along with 2 ground floor flats suitable for wheelchair users.
Phase 3 - April 2014
These 24 properties are the first Mid-Market rented homes to be built by the Association. This innovative new form of tenure aims to bridge the gap in quality and cost between the social rented and private sectors. The properties are built to the latest standard of building regulations and will include furnishings and white goods.
