I live on Pettigrew Street and have been a mid-market rent tenant of East End HDC (SHA’s subsidiary company) for four years. I have a general interest in how Shettleston Housing Group is run and what it can do for local people. I am a member of the East End Board of Management and was recently temporarily co-opted onto the SHA Board. This has given me an insight into what is involved in the role and I would now like to become an elected Board Member. I am employed as a case worker for the local Member of Parliament (M.P) and feel I have a good understanding of the issues and concerns facing many local residents. I previously worked in retail and have a degree in History from Strathclyde University.
