Our Customer and Community Services Team have been busy over the past few weeks reviewing our Housing Officer patches. The aim of this review was to ensure that each housing officer managed stock that was geographically close to each other to allow them to have a greater presence in the areas and be closer to their tenants and other customers.
We now have two area housing teams each with four housing officers with support provided by a Housing Assistant and led by an Area Housing Manager.
We went live with our new teams on Monday 31st March 2025.
Your new Housing Officer will be out and about in your area regularly and hopefully you will have the opportunity to meet them soon.
Your Housing Officer is there to help you with any tenancy related matters including enquiries about your rent or to provide advice and assistance if you are having any neighbour problems. A priority task for each Housing Officer is to get to know their new patch (and tenants) and to identify any issues relating to common areas, gardens and open spaces. This could range from issues with rubbish disposal/fly-tipping or dealing with overgrown gardens.
They will be working closely with the area Maintenance Officer to identify (and find solutions for) area specific problems. We are hoping to identify some interested residents to work with us on localised pilot improvements. If you’d be interested in this, please speak to your Housing Officer.
